What a wonderful world it would be if we were all kind to each other every day and not only on special occasions….
On a very warm Valentine’s day we photographed Caitlin’s Christening. It had been 5 years since we last photographed Maria and Kinchan first born Nathan, and to add to their family the much cherished Caitlin has joined them.
The family were thrilled that the paternal grandmother has flown from the Philippines to be part of this special event.
Caitlin’s Christening at Holy Spirit Church, Carnes Hill was a lovely occasion where Father Trong made it a point to include all the children in the congregation. Father Trong engaged the children by asking questions and used analogies to assist the children in understanding and relate to this important sacrament, a baptism. Caitlin at only five months, was quiet and wide awake through the whole ceremony.
The celebrations followed at the Terranova Bar and Restaurant, and given it happened to be on Valentine’s day there were also a number of couples in the restaurant enjoying a romantic lunch. The waiters were jovial and sang with the accordion player. The afternoon atmosphere was warm, friendly and inviting…..
The food was plentiful and the dessert table including Caitlin’s beautifully decorated Christening cake surrounded by a tower of cupcakes and jars of lollies. The guest tables were decorated with balloons and were soon weighed down with shared plates of pasta and risotto.
Please enjoy some of the photos from Caitlin’s special day.
Until next time, remember, being deeply loved by someone gives you strength while loving someone deeply gives you courage…
