Christening Photography – Vivanka
Recently we had the privilege of photographing Vivanka – this is the third child in the family that Harrison Photography has had the pleasure of capturing, and the Christening was beautiful. Christening Photography is a joy for us, and Natulka wanted us to come to the house first which is brilliant – it allows us to get a number of beautiful photos of the children and parents in the relaxed environment of their own home.
Despite the middle child being a little unwell, she really rallied when her Grandmother held her. And we have some great photos of Vivanka’s older brother bouncing on his bed – he is going to be a great older brother for his two sisters. When undertaking Christening Photography we are always on the lookout for those special moments, either between the parents and the child or (in this case) the siblings. We captured so many great moments and enjoyed the interactions between all of the family.
Once we got to the Church we were met by Natalka’s parents and her brothers. We had a little time in front of the church to grab a few more photos with the extended family as well as the three Godmothers. Then inside the church for a beautiful service – the simplicity of which was its beauty. The service focused on the key elements of a Christening, delivered by a gentle giant of a priest. The service was held to the side of the main alter which made for an intimate atmosphere.
After the service we headed off to the reception where Natalka and Nick’s friends joined together to enjoy the beautiful day. The weather was beautiful which certainly helped everyone enjoy themselves. With plenty of food on hand, conversation easily flowing, and Vivanka taking a little nap, we took our leave and headed off home.
