When family and friends request our photographic services we are more than happy to oblige, if available.
The Christening on Sunday was one such occasion. We photographed Maria and Chris’s first born, Connor ,three and half years ago and now their beautiful wide eyed little girl Andriana.
The Baptism was at St Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church at Mascot and the reception conveniently next door at the Graphic Arts Club.
Maria re-iterated that she wanted us to capture all aspects of the day including the details of the day. This is a given with us, as we know the amount of work which goes into organising any function and a photographic reminder can bring back many memories.
The Christening gown and other items were imported from Greece by the doting Godparents George and Sophia. The gown was an intricate bone coloured lace with bonnet. All the other items which are required at a Greek Orthodox Christening were also delicately covered with lace.
Beautifully celophaned cake pops were given to each guest as they congratulated the family at the end of the service.
Friends and family enjoyed a beautiful afternoon organised by Maria with the help of her amazing family. The lolly bar, the tables had beautiful fresh flowers and lollies bags with the children’s individual initials and adults had a box of chocolates to take home which all added to the ambiance of the day. The children were entertained by Elsa, the character from Frozen in the courtyard on the most gorgeous of spring weather.
In addition to this Maria surprised her husband with an amazing 3 dimensional cake for his 30th birthday (which happened to fall on Andriana’s Christening day) complete with a drum set and sticks. Chris is a professional drummer who is a regular back up to overseas and local bands.
Below are a few photos from this lovely event.
